Overview

The critical care unit at Kohinoor Hospital integrates many Specialities and diverse technologies, offering the possibility of survival to patients who are acutely & critically ill. They are designed & managed based on the fact that methodical organisation of critical care services influences important overall outcome measures such as mortality, length of stay & Infection rates. A lot of emphasis is also placed on areas standardizing care through clinical pathway.

The first hour after an accident is considered the 'Golden Hour'. In order to save lives, the time gap between the accident and the definitive treatment must be minimised. Kohinoor Hospital has a hi-tech trauma management system which meets international infrastructural standards.

This 24-hour unit provides Comprehensive Care and Life Support Services to patients who are critically ill and require intensive monitoring.

A team of dedicated Trauma Surgeons and Intensivists, adept at treating complex injuries, provide reliable tertiary care facilities. The Centre has an Emergency Room with six beds, an ICU with 27 beds, a modern operation theatre and a rehabilitation centre.
