Well hydrated is always healthy
It is important to drink a lot of water. An adult must consume at least 8 – 12 glasses of water a day. Fresh fruit juices are good for health. Beverages like tea, coffee and fizzy drinks must be avoided. Even if you drink tea or coffee, avoid sugar.

Fitness comes first
You should do some yoga or exercise daily even if it is just a 20 min stroll or even taking the stairs instead of using the lift. This will keep you fit and healthy and also give you a chance to be
more active and full of energy and will also decrease stress and anxiety. Check your weight regularly to ensure that you stay on top form.

Pursue your passions and hobbies
Devote your time to pursuing your hobbies. Doing what you enjoy keeps you happier and improves your overall mood and also relieves any stress or anxiety.

Rest your way to good health
Regular health checkups will keep you informed about possible health complications. Though you may be working, you should get 8 hours of sleep every night to stay fresh. Research shows that those who have a proper sleep every night are more likely to have a higher immunity level.

Eat Smart, Live Healthy
Most women tend to skip meals or forget to eat while balancing household chores, cooking and caring for the family. It is essential that you eat, eat healthy and eat on time; so you can actually work.
Choose foods which will improve your health and strengthen your immune system, so you can fight all kinds of diseases.

Eat moderate portions. Do not over eat or eat less.

Doctors and fitness experts all over the world recommend a balanced diet, high in proteins and low in fats and carbohydrates. Your diet must contain enough vitamins and minerals, improve immunity and mental performance.

Develop healthy eating habits and increase consumption of fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, food rich in fiber, shoots, seeds and cereals in your daily diet

Increase your protein intake and also increase the amount of carbohydrates in your diet.

A Calcium rich diet is essential for women as we are prone to Osteoporosis after menopause.

The intake of Iron, Calcium and Vitamin D are very essential for a woman, so ensure that you consume it daily.
Try eating a lot of berries; they are rich in Vitamin C, fiber and folate. They also have essential nutrients which help you fight diseases. For example, Cranberries are great for prevention of urinary infection.

Always start your day with a heavy breakfast.

If you work, take lunch from home instead of eating at the cafeteria. Try to share a dessert plate instead of gorging on one whole plate yourself. Replace mayonnaise with mustard sauce.

If you drink alcohol, limit it to just the weekends. If you have a sweet tooth, then try to balance your meal for the day so that you do not consume extra calories.
